語源について

「Flight」という単語は本来「飛行」や「飛ぶこと」を意味しますが、転じて「一続きのもの」「連続して並ぶもの」にも使われます。たとえば、「a flight of stairs（階段の一連）」のように使われることも。

この「一連の並び」という意味が転じて、ワイン、ビール、ウイスキーなどの試飲セットを「flight」と呼ぶようになりました。
